Dietetic Interns, our nutritional future

I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at a Dietetic Internship event today. I’ve been drawn towards networking events lately but there is something particularly special about Internship events. It’s neat to see the new generation in action.

The room had about 70 students from various nutrition programs.

I was invited as a guest speaker to discuss what the Sodexo Central MNT office does.  I co-presented a session about running an outpatient practice.  The students learned about insurances, management, and coaching patients to make a difference.

Other speakers that day included how to be competent as a registered dietitian and how to start your own Nutrition practice.

It was a day well spent as part of National Nutrition Month!
